Have you ever wondered why the elites in this country are shelling out $30,000, $40,000 or even $50,000 a year for elite prep schools? Think about that. Over 12 years, that’s half a million dollars just to keep one of their children out of public school. They must know something about education that you don’t.
Well, I have seen both sides. I’ve done time in private schools and public schools, before winding up in an elite prep school in Virginia. And let me tell you, the difference is night and day.
Revealing School was originally going to be a friendly book, examining the differences between public schools and prep schools. The purpose was to show how we could fix our “broken” public schools. But then I ran into a major problem. The deeper I dug, the more I researched, the more certain I became that public schools aren’t actually broken. They are doing exactly what they were been designed to do – condition your kids for industrial work, while the elites are in prep schools learning how to rule the world! And so Revealing School became a very different book, a darker book, than I originally intended.
Revealing School is broken into 3 parts. Part 1 you’ve heard before, but not like this. Part 2 traces the dark and ancient roots of school all the way back the Babylonians. And Part 3, it’s GROUNDBREAKING! You cannot fathom what you are about to read in Part 3: The Programmable Man. Many people have claimed that schools “dumb kids down,” but none have fully revealed the process… until now! When you finish Part 3 of this book, you will understand why I say that school is the evolution of tyranny – and just about the worst thing that could happen to a child. You will never look at school the same.
My name is Britton LaTulippe, and I’m the author of Revealing School. And I’m warning you, don’t send your kids to school until you’ve read this book.
Part 1: A Place Without Love
With exciting personal stories, author Britton LaTulippe addresses the most devastating problems with American schools. Take a journey through public, private, and elite prep schools while awakening to the REAL educational environment that you’re sending your children into.
Part 2: The Evolution of Tyranny
The dark history of school is revealed, along with a glimpse of an even darker future. Learn why school is the evolution of tyranny.
Part 3: A Programmable Man
A secret science is being used against your children. Before sending them off to school, you must know what has been done and is being done to students – it will forever change the way you see American schools.
No one understands education like Britton LaTulippe. This homeschooling father of five is the author of more than 70 children’s books, creator of several early-learning curriculum sets, and the owner of Blue Manor Academy. Revealing School is Mr. LaTulippe’s masterpiece. Mixing personal stories from the 10 schools he attended in 6 different states, together with history, politics and psychology, he weaves together the frightening and fascinating tale of American education.
Surprisingly, many parents do not feel qualified to teach their own children preschool at home. If you are one of them, I hope to relieve your apprehension. In fact, I believe that home preschools are far superior to anything that a center can provide and highly recommend that all parents teach their children preschool at home if at all possible.
Here are 3 reasons to enjoy preschool at home.
1. I think everyone would agree that small classes are preferable over larger ones. That is because the closer the teacher/student ratio is to 1:1, the easier it is for the teacher to teach and the easier it is for the student to learn. For starters, the teacher has the ability to set the academic pace according to her individual student, instead of according to the class majority. In large classes, the top students are often held back by the slower students, and the slower students are left behind to accommodate everyone else. So, teaching your child at home ensures that your children’s individual needs are not overlooked for the needs of the majority.
2. The very natural of a preschool center makes trouble for young children – mainly because very young children are still learning what is and is not socially acceptable. So, crowding them into a room filled with lots of other young, immature children is a recipe for disaster. Let me put it this way. For whatever reason, children tend to mimic the behavior of the lowest common denominator in large-group settings. You will find your child not imitating all the other nice, polite children sitting up front, but instead copying the one lone boy making potty noises in the back of the class.
Sadly, this is a fundamental “preschool truth” coming from someone who has personally witnessed this phenomenon in preschool classes over and over again. Not that children can be sheltered forever, but remember that children under the age of 5 years old are far more impressionable, and for that reason, it is important to put them in healthy social environments early on, where good examples are commonplace, until they have formed a proper understanding and habit of decent behavior. So, again, unless you yourself are bound to fits of potty language and tantrums, the home is the best place to conduct preschool.
3. You don’t want to miss it! Teaching your child to read, write and figure is a wonderful joy!
Now you know why you should teach your child preschool at home, but how? It is SO easy with our Christian Preschool Curriculum. If you have 15 minutes free each day, you can do it!
Some parents view preschool as an unnecessary bonus – a trivial head start. They could not be further from the truth. Not only is preschool important, it is possibly more important than any other grade from elementary school to college, for the simple reason that it is the child’s first exposure to structured learning.
First impressions are deep and lasting. The young child who walks into a classroom unprepared finds himself lagging behind other students and wrongfully imagines that he is less capable, intellectually inferior. To his knowledge, he has received the same instruction that the other students have, but it is taking him longer to make sense of the lessons. So, he concludes that he must not be as smart and his enthusiasm for school evaporates. Of course, the children who enter school prepared, or even ahead, have just the opposite experience. School is coming so naturally to them while their peers seem to be struggling, they imagine that they are highly capable and their enthusiasm to learn new things grows.
Now, there is another reason why preschool is so important, and it has to do with the age of the preschooler. The first five years are special – their potential wonderful. Most experts agree that there is something extraordinary about a young child’s ability to learn and absorb almost anything taught. Think about it; within just a few years of coming into the world, toddlers teach themselves to fluently speak a completely foreign language. They do so without the aid of schools, teachers and textbooks.
Using our Christian Preschool Curriculum, I have taught children as young as 2 years old to read! And those children were no more gifted than other children. Or should I say, those children were extremely gifted – like all children! Yes, those first five years are magical and should not be wasted.
